Lit/Fuel Ignited We Stand Tour
By Lisa Holt
March 30, 2025 - Audible time travel commenced last Saturday night as the “Ignited We Stand” tour rolled through Sacramento’s Hard Rock Live Casino in Wheatland, California. Featuring Y2K powerhouses LIT and FUEL, they came together to light up stages all across America for this tour. Drawing fans to relive their youth and deliver a massive does of 90’s and 2000’s rock nostalgia.
Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum-selling artist FUEL is up first n this co-headlining tour. The crowd was met with enthusiasm as FUEL matched the energy on stage by rolling out songs that span their career, like “Bittersweet” from their 1998 debut album “Sunburn.” The cohesive, passionate set was filled with Rock nostalgia, and the sing-alongs from the crowd were in unison and glorious. Fans from all over were there for this electrifying performance. FUEL satisfies the fans with more songs from their catalog. What an amazing band! Carl Bell on guitar, donning his candy apple guitar that reminds me of a race car - what a shredder! Sharing leads with Bell is Mark Klotz, another well-oiled machine, an amazing guitar player. Lending to the high-intensity tracks are monster bass player Tommy Nat and drummer Kevin Miller. Both are super amazing, rounding out the low end and keeping perfect timing. We can’t leave out our singer and frontman, Aaron Scott! What a great singer; he always delivers and sets the tone for the whole evening as a spectacular frontman. FUEL carried on with a powerful set list, saving the best for last, their massive radio hit “Hemmorage” from their 2000 second album release “Something Like Human.” I had this CD and wore it out! FUEL has survived and has sustained its popularity, and will always be one of my favorite 90’s/2000’s jams.
Iconic Orange County punk pop giants LIT were up next, opening with “Kicked Off The Plane” off of the 2023 release “Tastes Like Gold.” This quartet brings nostalgic vibes of the ‘90’s and 2000’s and can satisfy fans with the sounds of punk, pop, rock, and metal. On this night, the band seamlessly blended their setlist of classic hits spanning their discography. We were treated to songs like “Over My Head” and “Everything’s Cool.” The energy soared, lighters were held up for songs, and fans were out of their seats dancing and singing along. LIT frontman, A. Jay Popoff leads this band with energy and fervor and whips the fans into a frenzy; it seems that no time has passed for this band, guitarist Jeremy Popoff lends remarkable sole, and bass player Kevin Baldes delivers a sick basstone and performance, keeping the rhythm and beat behind the skins is Taylor Carroll, what an ensemble! The massive hit “Miserable” is up next, a comical song that everyone in attendance knew the lyrics to and sang along to! From their 1999 release,” A Place In The Sun,” I was happy as the last song on the setlist was my favorite catchy, witty, clever song, “My Own Worst Enemy,” also from “A Place In The Sun.” I also had this CD and wore it out! No doubt, this was the catchiest song of the era. Fuel and Lit still delivered the goods that launched them to stardom in the '90s and 2000s and left the fans gasping for more. With both bands continuing to captivate audiences and tour the world, there is a chance you can Catch them when they blow through your town. Don't miss this tour! This a special combo plate of rock you do not want to miss.
